Rook is a spray practice. Not a résumé, not a crew name from a different city. Cans, ladders, weather, and the time a wall actually takes.

Paint on masonry. That is the whole job.

How a wall gets read

We start with the surface: stucco, block, wood, metal. Then the light — morning on a west wall is a different color than noon. Then the walk-by. A mural has to hold from the sidewalk and from a moving car. Sketches come after that, not before.

Weather

Coastside fog is not a mood board. It is moisture on a still-wet pass. We plan caps and time of day around it. Salt air eats cheap paint. We do not use cheap paint.

Scale

Shop fronts, alley walls, interior feature walls, one-off objects. We will say no to a wall that wants a photograph of a person copied large. We will say yes to color, type, and work that belongs on that building.

What we take

Commissions for exteriors and interiors. Custom spray on panels and objects. No vehicles-as-billboards. No “make it pop” without a wall to stand in front of. If you have a wall, send photos and a size. We will tell you if it is ours.
